Sick of carrying all those different patch cables in your kit?

Now there is an solution for that with this Universal Network Cable.

It is easy just plug it in as a normal RJ45 cable and you can connect a default cable on the other side. And now you can by turning the switch change you cable to:

  • STRAIGHT-THROUGH: Use as a standard RJ45 patch cable
  • CROSSOVER: Communicate directly between computers without a hub or switch
  • ROLLED: Connect a host to a Cisco router or switch
  • T1: Connect to DDS lines / T1 trunk lines
  • ATM/LOOPBACK: Test if a network card is working by checking for link lights with no need for a hub or switch

Doesn’t that sound nice to have? It has a place in my kit from now on.

CableDrop Cable Clips

author Posted by: George on date Oct 9th, 2009 | filed Filed under: Cables

Lots of us these days work on laptops and that means we have a lot of wire lying around.

The pictures above kinda tells a story about how my cables should look but they don’t.

Right now there are the following cables on my desk:

  • power cable laptop
  • printer cable
  • USB cable for my camera
  • Ethernet cable
  • iPhone sync cable
  • external hard drive cable

You see way to many cable just lying loose. But with the CableDrop this could all be organized a lot nicer. Just stick one of the clips at the edge of you desk and route the cable through it and there you are no loose wire any more till you pull it up to use it.

For me this would be a great solution and I will be getting one of these. They come in a set of 6 (2 of each color) and for less the 10 dollars it seems money well spend.

Check out theĀ CableDrop Cable Clips and see how they could improve you desk.
