This is probably the strangest product I wrote about but I can really see this being a killer product.

OK this is a holder for you iPad2 (i think it works on the original iPad to but can’t get it confirmed).

Just like the good old desk lamp that you could move in all kind of directions, you can now do that with you iPad2.

One of the pictures on the suppliers websites shows someone lying in bed having the iPad above her head. I don’t see that as a great solution but still this holder can adjust in different ways. Now you could share you iPad with a colleague on a desk next to you.

You could use it to to how you information close buy while typing.

So after being a silent site for 9 days in honour of Steve Jobs today we are back.

And let me tell you we will see more Apple related products over the next while but of course there will be other stuff to.

But today no new gadget just a little post about preordering.

As an Apple fan boy I of course can not wait to get my new gadgets quickly after launch. And today means that I really want to get the iPhone 4S.

So to make sure I would get one I looked at all my options even before we where able to preorder and decided to stay with my current carrier Fido (Canada) as there offered me a pretty good deal on a new plan and I am up for renewal so I would get the phone for a good price.

Preording at Fido only worked online or let me say should have worked as it took me almost 5 hours to get my preorder in. I ordered a black 32Gb 4S and ended up being 2842 on the list to me not a huge number specially because this is a preorder system between Fido and Rogers Canada wide.

But when I write this post (October 13 at 8PM) I have learned that I am now 2659 on the list and my phone is not shipped yet and my order is not even in process. So that would mean that for preorder less then 200 phone where available on day one, or at least that is what the numbers tell me.

But then now i read that the Fido stores will have stock. So I guess that I will have to line up again and see if i will be lucky and get a new phone. But at this point in time i doubt it 🙁 It is that Fido has Fido dollars that I collected over my previous contract that i can use to buy this phone other wise i would definitely have lined up somewhere else.

To me this is the second time that I am unlucky with preordering.

The first time was the iPad release I ordered my iPad online in the middle of the night at the Apple website to be sure I would get one.

But no luck something went wrong and Apple send me a email the morning of release in Canada saying that the shipment was delayed.

So then of course I ran to the Apple store and ended up in line for hours but luckily ended up with the iPad i wanted. And soon after the ordered one arrived witch i then sold for a nice profit.

But I am now done with preordering if this is the way it works. I guess if you don’t mind waiting then this could be the way to go but if you are like me then this system is not sure thing of getting the product on release day.

So when you read this post I will be once again be lined up but this time at a mobile phone carrier that probably has not many pieces so lets hope i am lucky.

You all will know when I have my new iPhone and lets hope it is soon.

Today the sad new reached us that Steve Jobs has passed away.

Let me start with wishing his family the power and strength they will need in the coming days, weeks, month and years to get over this loss.

It’s hard to write about someone you never met but still have such and admiration for.

For me Steve Job was a visionary who wanted the best products out there that would change the world.

And this is what he did for me.

My first contact with an Apple product (a Macintosh i believe) was like 28 years ago. Then still a kid this product looked amazing to me but my dad decided to get a PC.

After worked in the computer industry for years. I finally got sick of the inferior products hardware and software products and in 2007 I bought my first Mac. It was a Macbook Pro witch I today still use almost everyday. Since that first day that I used my Apple computer I never looked back.

This amazing product with amazing software that just worked and worked all the time.

From the first Mac to now having and iMac, iPhone, Apple TV and a Nano there was just happiness while using these devices. Something I rarely found while still using pc’s.

And for me this was all thanks to Steve Jobs a leader and visionary who lead his team and company to great heights witch as we all know did not go so easy but he did it any way.

Steve seemed to have his way of doing things and did not want to cut corners if that would go over the head of us the faithful users.

So long Steve Rest in Piece, you will be missed but you will be remembered.

I am sure the Apple will have a great future as long as they follow the system that Steve Jobs put in place, and wish them all the best. 

Wires are always to short or to long.

For me syncing my iPhone or iPad always leave a long wire sticking out of my laptop and i don’t like that.

But now i found the solution with this short sync cable.
