Western Digital My Book 3.0 1TB USB 3.0

author Posted by: USBgeek on date Feb 26th, 2010 | filed Filed under: Storage

It is still early with not many computers out there that offer a USB 3.0 port but that will not stop you from using this external hard drive from WD. This is a 1 TB External Hard drive that comes with a USB 3.0 cable and a PCIe USB 3.0 controller to make your “old” pc ready for USB 3.0. And even if you don’t want / need USB 3.0 right now you could still by this external hard drive because it is backwards compatible so it will work on a USB 2.0 port just slower as it would on a USB 3.0 and by doing this you will be ready when everything has USB 3.0

Go check out this Western Digital My Book 3.0 1TB USB 3.0

500GB Apricorn Bio Hard Drive

We all have external storage devices some of us use flash drives and some of use use hard drives but we all seem to have some of them lying around. But how safe is your data on those devices?

Right about 95% of that data is not secure and that means in the wrong hands it could be dangerous for the data owner.

So why not get a device that is safer?

The Apricorn Bio Hard Drive will encrypt all your data real-time 128-bit AES hardware encryption making the drive useless for thieves even if they remove the drive from the enclosure. And lucky for you there is no password necessary to get to your data either because this storage device reads you fingerprint.
So no worries that someone would figure out your password and steal you data anyways. With the Apericorn Bio Drive your data is safe where ever you take it.

I would say go check out the 500GB Apricorn Bio Hard Drive

Storage that is safe in water and fire

We all have them nice external storage solutions. They don’t cost much either but how safe is your data on it?

I guess most of us will loose everything when our home would burn down and that is a shame to loose all those memories all those holiday photo’s all those documents all gone forever.

But why? You know for just a little bit more you can own an external hard drive from ioSafe and they can be underwater or even in a fire and your data is still safe. If you don’t believe me search for iosafe on Youtube and see what they do with those drives.

You see data can be safer then you have it now and if that isn’t enough ioSafe would even pay if you disk is not readable any more. They would pay up to 1000 dollars to a data recovery company to get you data back.

I would say go check out the IoSafe Solo 2 TB Fireproof and Waterproof Desktop External Hard Drive with 5 Year Data Recovery Service and see how to safe your important files.
