Many of you are having this mouse on there wish list and now it is readily available.

The Apple Magic Mouse of course is wireless and talks through bluetooth to your computer and here no scroll wheels or buttons justĀ  a nice smooth top and yes your can still scroll just move your finger and yes you can still press a button just press, Apple really thought this mouse through and it is hard to admit but it is probably the best mouse out there.

Syba Fast Infra-Red Adapter

author Posted by: USBgeek on date Mar 2nd, 2010 | filed Filed under: Networking

Where are the days that every device had an infra red port? My Palm had one, my laptop had one and even my printer had one. But now nothing seem to have one any more.

So if you are in need of an infra red port then the only way to go is going with something like this USB adapter.

I would say if you need a fast Infra Red adapter look no further the Syba SD-U1IRDA-NM USB Fast Infra-Red Adapter will do the trick.

Western Digital My Book 3.0 1TB USB 3.0

author Posted by: USBgeek on date Feb 26th, 2010 | filed Filed under: Storage

It is still early with not many computers out there that offer a USB 3.0 port but that will not stop you from using this external hard drive from WD. This is a 1 TB External Hard drive that comes with a USB 3.0 cable and a PCIe USB 3.0 controller to make your “old” pc ready for USB 3.0. And even if you don’t want / need USB 3.0 right now you could still by this external hard drive because it is backwards compatible so it will work on a USB 2.0 port just slower as it would on a USB 3.0 and by doing this you will be ready when everything has USB 3.0

Universal Network Cable

author Posted by: USBgeek on date Feb 22nd, 2010 | filed Filed under: Cables

Sick of carrying all those different patch cables in your kit?

Now there is an solution for that with this Universal Network Cable.

It is easy just plug it in as a normal RJ45 cable and you can connect a default cable on the other side. And now you can by turning the switch change you cable to:

  • STRAIGHT-THROUGH: Use as a standard RJ45 patch cable
  • CROSSOVER: Communicate directly between computers without a hub or switch
  • ROLLED: Connect a host to a Cisco router or switch
  • T1: Connect to DDS lines / T1 trunk lines
  • ATM/LOOPBACK: Test if a network card is working by checking for link lights with no need for a hub or switch

Doesn’t that sound nice to have? It has a place in my kit from now on.
