Lighter and flash drive in one

author Posted by: George on date Sep 15th, 2009 | filed Filed under: Memory Sticks

Some of us still have the habit of smoking and a real smoker would not leave home without his lighter and that is why you smokers are lucky. Because now there is this Lighter with a build in 8GB flash drive so you also never forget your data any more.

I would be so happy if I would remember to take my flash drive but I don’t smoke so this will not really help me.

Go check out this cool real working lighter with build in flash drive at ThinkGeek.

Apple to Sprint: the proof?

author Posted by: George on date Sep 9th, 2009 | filed Filed under: iPhone / iPod Touch

Okay, I’m not keeping up with the tech news today, as I’m on holiday in New York City. But I might just have a juicy piece of news.

Rumours have been flying for a while now about AT&T losing its monopoly on the iPhone. Well, I ran into a hint that those rumours are true.

At the Flatiron Building today there was a film crew on the sidewalk. The building houses a Sprint store on the street level, and there was Justin Long (the Mac Guy) being filmed with a Sprint shopping bag. In the bag was a box that looked like the typical black Apple box.

It looked like they were shooting a commercial. I got a photo (but forgot my card reader, rats).

We have to wait and see, but Sprint may start selling the iPhone.

update: It seems like it I was wrong on this one. Some research tells me that this actually was a shoot for the new movie “Going the Distance” with Justin Long and Drew Barrymore.
