Belkin introduces a new USB 2.0 network adapter and this adapter is able to do Gigabit ethernet (1000 Mbps) ok they stated already that it is limited by the computer and the USB port. But still it should be able to go a lot faster then the 10 or 100 MB network adapters (Belkin of course also support these).

Aldo i would not want to have an external network adapter the gigabit speed is tempting But you should wonder if you want to change your cabling to Cat 6 and your other network parts like Hubs and Routers.
